Family Law ProceedingsPersonal Injury Civil LitigationCriminal Proceedings

When you engage my services, you get the expertise of a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in the psychological assessment of complex difficulties, and in risk assessment. Most importantly you get someone who understands the responsibilities of acting as an expert witness.

Family Law Proceedings

I provide psychological assessment reports of adults with complex mental health and personality difficulties. I am experienced in providing reports for cases in pre-proceedings, and in Public Law and Private Law proceedings.

I work at approved Legal Aid Agency rates. I always work to keep the costs of assessment as low as reasonably possible. Two things I pride myself on are the quality of my reports and filing these on time.

Specialist areas I can report on include:

  • Mood difficulties, anxiety difficulties, psychosis/mental illness and substance misuse
  • Personality disorder and emotional instability
  • Problems with intimate relationships and ability to separate from an inappropriate or abusive partner
  • Risk assessment of violence, domestic violence, suicide and self harm, and other risk behaviours
  • Trauma and adjustment difficulties arising from abuse, assault and sexual exploitation
  • Cognitive assessment (of an individual’s general intellectual functioning)
  • Assessment of capacity, including capacity to instruct a solicitor.

Personal Injury Civil Litigation

I provide a responsive service so you can be assured that your client will be assessed quickly and that you receive a report that is of high quality, on time, and fully compliant with the Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Direction 35.

With monthly clinics in Manchester, Stockport, and Altrincham, appointments are scheduled quickly. A personal service ensures that the process is clearer for the referrer and the claimant.

When you make an enquiry about a more complex case, I can provide a response quickly so you can get on with making the necessary arrangements for the claimant. At any point in the process, you can contact someone who knows exactly where a case is up to and who can deal with your enquiries efficiently.

I take instructions from claimant and defendant solicitors, and joint instructions.

I have considerable experience in the assessment of personal injury following road traffic accidents, medical negligence and workplace accidents.

I provide personal injury psychological assessment reports on the following:

  • Depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD and trauma, adjustment disorders, and other related disorders
  • Travel anxiety and other difficulties following road traffic incidents
  • Impact of workplace accidents and employment stress
  • Impact of physical illness or injury
  • Impact of medical negligence
  • Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority assessments.

I also provide psychological treatment

I am also an experienced and highly skilled therapist. I provide psychological treatment for adults with post-traumatic stress, travel anxiety, anxiety disorders and related disorders following accident or injury from my consulting rooms in Manchester city centre.
