A focused psychological consultation with a Clinical Psychologist. For capable, self-aware people navigating change in their work or life.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You’ve been circling a decision for months and still haven’t moved on it.
You know what needs to happen but keep delaying it.
You overthink instead of acting.
There’s something important that feels exposing.
You know your work needs to evolve, but you’re not moving on the changes that matter.
Life has changed, and you’re rethinking how you work.
You’re capable everywhere else except here.
You know something needs to change. You just can’t seem to move.
WHY CAPABLE PEOPLE GET STUCK
There’s a gap between knowing and doing
The people I work with aren’t lacking discipline, ambition, or self-awareness.
Most already know what needs to happen.
The problem isn’t knowing. It’s what happens next.
It’s a psychological pattern that tends to show up when something starts to matter.
It can show up in the decision you’ve been putting off. The idea that’s still in your notebook. The move you’re still waiting to feel ready to make.
And the more something matters, the more you’re pulled into that pattern.
This isn’t a character flaw.
It’s not laziness.
It’s protective.
And it’s costing you.
Another month of knowing. Another step you didn’t take.
Who this is for
Many people I work with are professionals or business owners navigating an important transition. They usually recognise themselves in one of these two situations:
Building something that matters
You’re stepping into greater visibility, taking on leadership, considering a career change, launching a project, or creating something meaningful.
You can execute almost anything except the thing that feels most exposing right now.
Rethinking how you work
Your work or life no longer fits.
Whether that’s because of illness, burnout, caring responsibilities, changing priorities, adapting to AI, or simply rethinking what success looks like, something has shifted.
You know something needs to change, but every time you get close to making a decision, something pulls you back.
This is for the person who already knows
Capable. Thoughtful. Self-aware.
And somehow still not moving on something they haven’t been able to think their way out of.
Despite being very good at thinking.

Why I created this approach
I’ve spent 20 years working with people on the hardest things.
Serious injuries. Life-changing health problems. Burnout. Loss. Major life transitions.
Most already knew what they needed to do.
Yet when the next step became possible, something often got in the way.
People kept arriving who didn’t need therapy. Their mental health wasn’t the problem.
They were struggling to move forward on something that mattered.
I knew there was room for something between therapy and most coaching.
The conversation starts with the individual.
The pattern keeping you stuck.
The friction maintaining it.
The next meaningful step for your situation and no one else’s.
That’s why I created The Key Frame™
HOW IT WORKS

No. The Key Frame™ is a focused consultation — a single session designed to identify a specific pattern and define the next step. It draws on psychological understanding and clinical experience, but it isn’t therapy, and it doesn’t function like it. If something emerges that would be better addressed therapeutically, I’ll tell you.
Not in the conventional sense. There’s no programme, no ongoing accountability structure, no worksheets. It’s one highly focused session with someone who has spent 20 years working with behaviour, change, and the patterns that get in the way of both.
No. Many people arrive with a sense that something is stuck but can’t name it precisely. The pre-session form and the session itself are designed to bring that into focus. You don’t need to have it figured out — that’s what the session is for.
People arrive in different situations. Some are building something that matters. Some are rethinking how they work after illness, burnout, caring responsibilities, changing priorities, or adapting to AI. Others know their work no longer fits or are considering a career change. The common thread is that they’re capable, thoughtful and self-aware, and there’s something specific they’re not moving on.
A concise document delivered within 48 hours of your session. It outlines what emerged as most important, the pattern identified during the session, and a defined next step. It’s designed to be genuinely useful — something you’ll return to, not something you file away.
If you hit another sticking point while putting your next move into practice, you can book a 60-minute follow-up coaching session for £250.
This is designed to build on the work we’ve already done together and doesn’t include a new written Key Frame Summary.
If something different has come up and you’d like to understand what’s keeping you stuck, you can book The Key Frame™ again.
A good mentor knows your field. A good friend knows you. This is different — it’s a trained clinical eye on a specific pattern, without the investment that friend or mentor has in a particular outcome for you. That distance is often exactly what’s needed.
£350. One session. No subscription. No obligation to continue.
Sometimes identifying the pattern and defining your next move is enough. Sometimes people want some support putting it into practice.
If you hit another sticking point along the way, a follow-up coaching session may be all you need.
If you want more structured support to work on the thoughts, beliefs and internal reactions that continue to get in the way while you move towards a particular goal, I also offer an 8-week coaching programme.
We can discuss what might fit at the end of your consultation, but there’s no expectation that you’ll continue working with me.
